Chrome Extension to Record Browser Interaction and Capture Network Traffic
This is a Chrome extension to record the browser interaction and capture the network traffic of websites. It is used to automate the website QA process by automating tag audits with Falcon - a website tag auditing tool.
This extension offers users the flexibility to record a certain part of the webpage to generate Selenium scripts for use in the Falcon Tag Auditing Console.
It also offers users the flexibility to record only the content that they are interested in to generate data for other websites or apps.
To save time and resources, this extension is integrated with Falcon and is able to record the scenario journeys. The data collected from the user's browser interaction and network traffic are saved in the recorded scenario file, and can be viewed and analyzed by the user.
When a user is recording the browser interaction and network traffic on a website, the user is recording it to the file system.
This is necessary to support the scenario journey recording.
To ensure that the data is recorded to the file system, it is first checked by the extension if it is online.
The extension also offers users the flexibility to choose to record the website’s URL for the scenario journey recording. This is useful if the website is linked to another site, and it is not linked to the extension.
A user can record the website and network traffic on multiple websites at the same time.
It is possible for users to save the data that is recorded to the file system to a data file. This is done to keep it for later analysis or for offline access.
